About Me
I was born and raised in Aroostook County. While in high school I found myself constantly in the art room. This is where I was introduced to the art of wood carving. I started out just learning about different types of wood, tools and techniques. I continued carving throughout high school and when I graduated my parents got me my own set of tools. While I was in college I was able to continue carving and was even given the opportunity of an apprenticeship studying under my former high school teacher and master carver Thom Cote. I have carved at many events including the Acadian Festival, Northern Maine Fair, and Bangor Folk Festival. In the fall of 2008 I received my Bachelors Degree in Art. Some of my carvings can be seen in person at the Artist Nook in Limestone, ME.
